Unstable law and order situation
Recently the law and order situation of the Banani area has deteriorated much. Many gangs of criminals are active in the area. Killing, mugging, hijacking, raping and stealing have become common affairs in the area. In some cases these occur in broad daylight. People can’t move in the streets safely. Even the eve teasers disturb the school and college going girls. They do not feel secured at the time of going to schools and colleges. The peace of people has completely been shattered. The criminals demand money from the businessmen through cell phones and threaten to kill them if they deny to pay the demanded money. The whole area is now in the grip of the criminals. Some criminals are doing these anti-social activities under political shelter. The law enforcing agencies are not so active in the area. We hope that the police and RAB will be more active to arrest the born criminals to ensure people a peaceful social life.
